our passion

As well as providing an entertaining big band show selected from the swing greats such as Ellington, Goodman, Basie, Miller, Kenton, Herman etc and a few more modern compositions these concerts will help to raise many thousands of pounds for various charities and good causes.

The Railway Swing Band are sometimes played on Fine Music Radio which is broadcast in Cape Town, South Africa and online during The Jazz Lounge show with Vernon Varty on a Wednesday between 6p.m. - 7p.m. (U.K. time).

Our director of music

Dave White, the band's Director of Music, was interviewed by Bill Rennells for BBC Radio Kent, BBC Oxford and BBC Berkshire. The interview was broadcast on 28 November 2010 with a couple of Railway Swing Band recordings played at the start and finish of the interview.
